Philodendron Micans
About
Philodendron Micans are a special type of vining philodendron that are known for at velvety leaves.
They are very similar to the heartleaf philodendron in their appearance, yet these guys have a slightly darker colored and are velvet texture. We also find they are much slower growing than their heartleaf friends.
Plant Care
Growth: Vining
Water: Medium watering needs, simply water when the top layer of soil gets dry.
Climate: Mimic it’s natural tropical environment with a warm and humid location for the best growth. Misting often or placing it with a collection of other tropical plants helps increase the humidity.
Light: Bright indirect light, this plant enjoys getting a good amount us light, however placing it in direct sunlight can burn it’s leaves.
Soil: Fluffy, well draining soil. We keep ours in a mixture of coco coir, perlite, and regular potting soil.
Propagation: Easily propagated through stem cuttings and leaf cuttings
