Philodendron White Knight

About

The Philodendron White Knight (Philodendron Erubescens) is a beautiful climbing plant with excellent white and green variegation, that is perhaps more striking than the variegation on the Monstera Albo.

The color of the White Knight is very similar to the White Wizard, but differs slightly in color of the petioles and size of the leaves. The White Knight has beautiful magenta petioles with white trim, whereas the wizard will have more green adorned with green streaks.

The size of the White Knight is much larger-growing up to about 10 ft. However, the White Wizard will get only about 3 ft tall.

The White Knight is also a much faster grower than the White Wizard.

Altogether, The White Knight is bigger, faster, and more beautiful of the two…in my opinion.

Growth : Vining, will grow great vining up a moss pole, as these philodendron are hemi epiphytic (will vine on ground, as well as up trees)

Light : Thrives in bright, indirect light. Place your plant near a window with filtered sunlight to mimic its natural habitat in the tropical rainforests. Also does well under a grow light.
Humidity: Prefers warm and humid conditions.
Water: Allow the top inch of the soil to dry out before watering again. Misting the aerial roots or using a moist moss pole will help tremendously with this plants growth.
Soil : Use a well-draining potting mix containing a combination of coco coir, perlite, and orchid bark, which mimics the plant's natural environment.
Propagation: Easily Propagated by stem and node cuttings.
