Philodendron Brasil

When I first started painting variegated plants, it was a way of learning about plants that I wanted to add to my collection. When I finally got my own philodendron brasil after having a painting on my wall for so long, it made it that much more of a magical experience.

Something that is amazing about painting, to me, is that it can bring the wild wonderland that I have in my head to life. I love that with a painting it does not have to be realistic. Paintings can capture the heart of the artist in a way a photo can’t and it can make the impossible possible….and perhaps even manifest the most beautiful dreams into reality.
